Still I Will Fly”
I lost myself into love’s embrace,
forgot my name, my time, my place.
I gave too much, too fast, too deep,
and left my soul in silence… sleep.
But now I feel a whisper’s call,
to rise again, though I may fall.
I have one wing, the other’s torn,
but still—I rise, though bruised and worn.
I’ll fly without the things I lack,
and on the wind, I’ll bring me back.
I’ll find the girl I left behind,
and teach her how to bloom, to shine.
Not as the world told me to be…
but as the fire that lives in me.
I won’t need wings to touch the sky—
I’ll build my truth.
And still, I’ll fly.
